Disc Wheel, Checking Radial and Lateral Run Out

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Tire Dial Gauge (V.A.G 1435)

• Wheel Balancing Machine Centering System (VAS 5271)

- Tension the disc wheel on the balancing machine.

- Use the (VAS 5271).

- Load the (V.A.G 1435) approximately 2 mm.

- Rotate the disc wheel slowly.

- Note the smallest and the largest dial readings.

- Compare determined value with specifications in the table.

• Peak values on the (V.A.G 1435) due to small irregularities may be disregarded.
