Battery, Disconnecting

In order to prevent damage to the battery or vehicle, observe battery type descriptions and notes.


• Make sure the electrical system of the vehicle is always protected. Disconnect the battery before working on the electrical system.

• Observe warning notes and safety precautions.


• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

Procedure

- Open the battery jacket - 1 -.






- Disconnect the ground cable - 1 - from the battery negative pole.






- Disconnect the positive cable - 3 - from the battery positive terminal.
