Battery Tray






Battery Tray


Risk of injury. Observe the warnings and safety precautions. Refer to => [ Warnings and Safety Precautions ] Service Precautions.

Removing

- Remove the battery. Refer to Gasoline Engine=> [ Battery ] Battery or Diesel Engine => [ Battery ] Battery.

- Remove the air filter housing.

- Remove the bolts - 2 - from the battery tray - 1 - and then remove the battery tray - 1 -.






Installing


If the Battery is not secured properly, the following risks are possible:

Shortened battery service life due to vibration damage (explosion hazard).

If the battery is not secured properly, the plates inside the battery can get damaged.

Damage to battery casing caused by bracket (possible electrolyte leakage, high subsequent costs).

Inadequate crash safety.

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Tighten the threaded connections to the tightening specification. Refer to => [ Battery (A) Overview ] Battery (A) Overview.

- Battery, installing, refer to, gasoline engine => [ Battery ] Battery or diesel engine => [ Battery ] Battery.
