HID Headlamp Ballast (J426)/(J427)

The left HID headlamp ballast (J426) / right HID headlamp ballast (J427) is located on the under side of the respective headlamp housing.

• The following illustrations show removing and installing the left headlamp.


• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

Removing

- Remove the headlamp.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.






• When removing the right HID headlamp ballast from the headlamp housing, the electrical connector is disconnected at the same time.

- Remove the right HID headlamp ballast - 1 - straight down from the headlamp housing.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:


Ensure that the right HID headlamp ballast is correctly positioned on the seal. Water getting in the headlamp will cause damage.

- Tighten the threaded connections to the tightening specifications. Refer to => [ HID Headlamps and Cornering Lamp Overview, from MY 12 ] HID Headlamps and Cornering Lamp Overview, from MY 12.

- Check headlamp for functions.
