Exterior Mirror Entry Lamps (W52)/(W53)


• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

Driver Entry Lamp In Exterior Rearview Mirror (W52) / Front Passenger Entry Lamp In Exterior Rearview Mirror (W53) are integrated in the mirror housing.

It is not necessary to remove the exterior mirror in order to remove and install the driver entry lamp in exterior mirror/front passenger entry lamp in exterior rearview mirror.

The driver entry lamp in exterior mirror and front passenger entry lamp in exterior rearview mirror are removed and installed the same way, so the description is only given for one side.

Removing

- Remove the mirror housing.

- Lift the driver entry lamp in exterior rearview mirror (W52) - 1 - out of the lower section of the mirror housing.






- Remove the driver entry lamp in exterior rearview mirror (W52) - 1 - from the bulb socket - 2 - in - direction of arrow -.

Replacing a bulb

- Remove the plug-in bulb - 2 - from the socket - 1 - in - direction of arrow -.






Bulb: Plug-in bulb: 12 V / 6 W

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

- Perform a functionality test on the exterior mirror.
