Brake Lines, Connecting from Master Brake Cylinder to ABS Hydraulic Unit


Do not confuse the brake lines when connecting them to the tandem master cylinder and the ABS hydraulic unit (N55). Mark the lines in their installed position before removing them.

On Tandem Master Brake Cylinder






A Master brake cylinder primary piston circuit to the ABS hydraulic unit.
Identification: Pipe bolt with thread M10 x 1
B Master brake cylinder main piston circuit to the ABS hydraulic unit.
Identification: Pipe bolt with thread M12 x 1
1 ABS hydraulic unit to the left front brake caliper.
2 ABS hydraulic unit to the brake caliper/left rear brake cylinder.
3 ABS hydraulic unit to the brake caliper/right rear brake cylinder.

On the ABS Hydraulic Unit (N55)






A ABS hydraulic unit to the master brake cylinder primary piston circuit.
Identification: Pipe bolt with an M12 x 1 thread.

B ABS hydraulic unit ABS hydraulic unit to the master brake cylinder secondary piston circuit.
Identification: Pipe bolt with thread M12 x 1
1 ABS hydraulic unit to the left front brake caliper.
Identification: Pipe bolt with thread M10 x 1

2 ABS hydraulic unit to the right front brake caliper.
Identification: Pipe bolt with thread M12 x 1

3 ABS hydraulic unit to the brake caliper/right rear brake cylinder.
Identification: Pipe bolt with thread M10 x 1
4 ABS hydraulic unit to the brake caliper/left rear brake cylinder.
Identification: Pipe bolt with thread M12 x 1
