Cap

• The following describes removing and installing the right cap. Removing and installing the left cap is identical.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Assembly tool (T10389)






Removing






- Remove the outer door seal - 5 - near opening for the hooks. Refer to => [ Outer Door Seal ] Outer Door Seal.

- Install the assembly tool (T10389) into the opening behind the hooks - 3 - for the cap - 1 -.

- Pull the assembly tool (T10389) toward the rear - arrow - until the hook is released.

- Remove the door handle - 2 - from the door in - direction of arrow a -.






- Remove the cap - 1 - at a right angle - arrow b -.

Installing

- Remove the door handle - 2 - from the door in - direction of arrow a -.






- Install the cap - 1 - at a right angle into the bracket - arrow b -.






- Insert a screwdriver - 4 - on the hooks - 3 -.

- Install the cap - 1 - in the door.

- Push the screwdriver in just far enough - arrow - to release the hook.

- Install the outer door seal - 5 - near opening for the hooks. Refer to => [ Outer Door Seal ] Outer Door Seal.
