Headliner - Sedan

Removing

- If equipped, open the sunroof.

- Turn off the ignition.

Vehicles with Interior Mirror and Rain Sensor

- Remove the interior rearview mirror with the cable channel. Refer to => [ Interior Rearview Mirror ] Interior Rearview Mirror.

Vehicles with Interior Rearview Mirror, Rain Sensor and Adaptive Cruise Control

- Remove the interior rearview mirror with the cable channel. Refer to => [ Interior Rearview Mirror ] Interior Rearview Mirror.

- Release the selector lever using the emergency release and then move it into "S".

All Vehicles

- Remove the lamps and switches from the headliner.

- Remove the upper left and right A-pillar trim. Refer to => [ Upper A-Pillar Trim ] Upper A-Pillar Trim.

- Remove the left and right B-pillar upper trim. Refer to => [ Upper B-Pillar Trim, Loosening and Fastening ] Upper B-Pillar Trim, Loosening and Fastening.

- Remove the left and right C-pillar trim. Refer to => [ C-Pillar Trim ] C-Pillar Trim.

- Remove the left and right sun visors with sun visor mounts. Refer to => [ Sun Visor ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the left and right grab handles (roof). Refer to => [ Roof Grab Handles ] Roof Grab Handles.

- Remove the front passenger seat. Refer to => [ Front Seat ] Front Seat.

- Fold the driver seat backrest to the rear.

- Remove the bolts - 4 - from the frame (2 Nm).

- Carefully loosen the clips - 3 - from the rear roof crossmember - 2 -.

- Unhook the clips - 5 - from the front roof crossmember - 6 -.

• Always replace the clips - 5 -.

- Loosen the headliner- 1 - from the door seal molding and then lower it.

- Remove the headliner - 1 - through the right rear door and out of the vehicle.






Vehicles with Sunroof

- Slide wedge (T10039/1) between frame - 1 - and headliner - 2 -.

- Separate the frame - 1 - from the headliner - 2 - all the way around using the (T10039).

- Remove the bolts - 5 - from the frame (2 Nm).

- Loosen the clips from the from the rear roof crossmember - 3 -.

- Loosen the clips from the from the front roof crossmember - 6 -.

• Always replace the clips.






All Vehicles

- Loosen the headliner- 1 - from the door seal molding and then lower it.

- Remove the headliner - 1 - through the right rear door and out of the vehicle.






Installation

- Install in reverse order of removal.

• Check all the fasteners for damage and replace if necessary.
