Center Console - Comfort and Highline
Removing
- Turn off the ignition.
- Move the selector lever into "N".
- Remove the shift cover and handle from the cover.
Vehicles with CD Changer
- Remove the CD changer.
All Vehicles
- Remove the parking brake lever trim.
- Remove the caps - 4 - on both side of the center console - 2 - or - 5 - and remove the bolt - 3 - (3.0 Nm).
- Pull the parking brake lever - 1 - into its highest position.
- Remove bolt - 1 - on both sides (1.5 Nm).
- Remove the trim - 2 - on both sides of the center console in - direction of arrow -.
- Remove the noise insulation - 1 - from the center console - 2 -.
- Remove the 2 screws - 3 - (1.5 Nm).
- Remove the storage compartment - 1 - from the center console - 2 - and disconnect the wiring harnesses (depending on the vehicle equipment level).
• An ashtray may be installed instead of the storage compartment - 1 -, removal is the same.
- Remove the trim - 2 - from the center console - 3 - with the trim removal wedge (3409).
- Remove the 2 screws - 1 - (1.5 Nm).
- Remove the 2 screws - 1 - (1.5 Nm).
Comfort center console
- Open the storage compartment cover - 2 - and remove the trim - 1 - from the center console - 3 -.
- Remove the 2 screws - 7 - (3,0 Nm).
- Remove the trim from the back of the Comfort center console. Refer to => [ Rear Center Console Trim - Comfort and Highline ] Rear Center Console Trim - Comfort and Highline.
Highline center console
- Open the storage compartment cover - 5 - and remove the trim - 4 - from the center console - 6 -.
- Remove the 2 screws - 7 - (3,0 Nm).
- Remove the trim from the back of the Highline center console. Refer to => [ Rear Center Console Trim - Comfort and Highline ] Rear Center Console Trim - Comfort and Highline.
Comfort center console
- Remove the center console - 1 - from the vehicle in - direction of arrow -.
Highline center console
- Remove the center console - 2 - and air guide channel from the vehicle in - direction of arrow -.
• The parking brake lever - 3 - must be pulled up into the highest position.
Installation
- Install in reverse order of removal.
• Check all the fasteners for damage and replace if necessary.
