Rear Subframe: Description and Operation

Subframe, Securing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Locating Pins (T10096)

• Engine/Gearbox Jack (V.A.G 1383 A)

Installing (T10096)

- Move the (V.A.G 1383 A) under the subframe and secure it using the Tensioning Strap.






- Remove the bolt - 1 - or - 2 - on both sides.






• For the sake of a better illustration, only the left side of the vehicle is shown.

- Secure the position of the subframes using 2 (T10096) to 20 Nm.






• (T10096) may only be tightened to a maximum of 20 Nm, since otherwise the threads of the locating bolts will be damaged.

- Insert the bolts on the subframe one after another on both sides through the (T10096) and tighten to 20 Nm.

• Position of subframe is now secured.
