Fuel Door Lock: Service and Repair

Fuel Filler/Rear Lid Remote Unlocking Button (E463)


• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

• When removing and installing components in visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), cover by taping the areas at which a prying tool ( Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409) , screwdriver) will be positioned using commercially available adhesive tape.

• The Push Button Illumination (L76) is integrated in the fuel filler/rear lid remote unlocking button, which cannot be replaced separately.

Removing

- Remove the driver side door trim panel.

- Disconnect the connector - arrow -.






- Open the tabs - arrows - and remove the fuel filler/rear lid remote unlocking button from the door panel.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
