Trailer Connector: Service and Repair
Trailer Socket (U10)
• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.
• Remove the key.
Removing
- Remove the bolts - arrows -.
- Remove the trailer socket.
- Remove the connector- 2 - from the trailer socket - 1 - in - direction of arrow -.
- Open the tabs - arrows - and unlock the clips - 1 - and - 3 - through - 5 -.
- Remove the retainer from the connectors - 2 -.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
Make sure that the sealing rings - 1 - and - 3 - are not damaged.
- Push the connectors - 4 - into the retainer - 2 - until they audibly latch.
Trailer Socket Connector Assignment
1. Terminal BL (Left turn signal)
2. Terminal NSL (rear fog lamp)
3. Terminal 31
4. Terminal BR (Right turn signal)
5. Terminal 58R (right tail lamp)
6. Terminal 54 (brake light)
7. Terminal 58L (left tail lamp)
8. Terminal RF (back-up light)
9. Terminal 30
10. Reserved for terminal 30
11. Reserved for terminal 31
12. Not used
13. Terminal 31
