Outer Window Recess Seal

Removing

• The seal has a metal insert in the center.

• If it gets bent, it will not possible to straighten it out again. It will remain "bumpy".

• This why the seal must be removed evenly without bending it.

• The following describes removing and installing the right exterior window shaft seal only. Removing and installing the left exterior window shaft seal is identical.






Perform the following:

- Remove the exterior mirror. For a manual mirror, refer to => [ Manual Exterior Mirror ] Manual Exterior Mirror, for a power mirror, refer to => [ Power Exterior Mirror ] Power Exterior Mirror.

- Remove the seal - 1 - evenly - arrows - from the flange - 2 -.

Installation






Perform the following:

- Position the seal - 1 - on the B-pillar and push it evenly onto the door flange - 2 -.

- Install the exterior mirror. For a manual mirror, refer to => [ Manual Exterior Mirror ] Manual Exterior Mirror, for a power mirror, refer to => [ Power Exterior Mirror ] Power Exterior Mirror.
