Rear Door Window, Window Guide







Window Guide

The following describes removing and installing the right window guide only. Removing and installing the left window guide is identical.

Removing

- Remove the door window. Refer to => [ Rear Door Window ] Rear Door Window.

- Remove the outer shaft strip. Refer to => [ Outer Window Recess Seal ] Outer Window Recess Seal.






- Pry out both of the cover caps - 5 -.

- Remove both bolts - 6 - from the center brace - 7 -.

- Remove the window guide rubber - 1 - from the door in the rear area.

- Remove the bolts - 2 - and pull the rear trim - 3 - with the clips - 4 - off in the direction of the - arrow -.






Vehicles with window guide trim molding

- Pull the front of the window guide - 1 - to the side slightly.

- Remove the expanding rivet - 2 - from the window guide trim molding - 3 -.

All vehicles

- Loosen the window guide - 1 - with the door window - 5 - from the door window frame at the inside and outside.

- Pry the clip - 6 - out of the window frame.

- Remove the entire window guide - 1 - with the fixed door window - 5 - and center brace - 4 - upward in the direction of the - arrow - out of the door.

Installation

Further installation is in reverse order of removal.

Use a new clip when installing the center brace.

Tightening specification: Rear trim bolt 2 Nm

Tightening specification: Center brace bolts 6 Nm

While installing the window guide, make sure it is seated evenly to prevent wind noise.
