Door Window

Removing

The following describes removing and installing the right door window. Removing and installing the left door window is identical.

The bolt - 3 - is accessible from the inside or from the outside when the outer door panel is removed. The bolt as viewed from the outside has a right-hand thread. This means: seen from the outside, bolt is loosened by turning toward left, seen from the inside, bolt is loosened by turning toward right.

- Removing front door trim.






- Pry the caps - 4 - out of the openings in the inner door panel.

- Lower the door window - 1 - until the locking screws - 3 - for the mount - 2 - are accessible in the openings.

If this cannot be done because of a power window malfunction, remove the window regulator motor and then slide the window down.


Loosen screw - 3 - from inside by turning toward right.

- Loosen bolts - 3 - (do not remove) from inside by turning toward right and press apart clamping brackets.






- Lift the rear door window - 1 - and remove it in - direction of arrow - from the window guides - 2 -.

Installation






- Install the door window - 1 - in the - direction of arrow a - into the window guides. Make sure the door window is inserted correctly into the window guide - 2 -.

- Without using any pressure, guide the door window - arrow b - into the clamping brackets - 3 -.

- Align the door window with the window frame - arrow c -.

- Now bolt must be tightened by turning toward left.

Bolt tightening specification: 8 Nm

Further installation is in reverse order of removal.

Then perform function test.
