Steering Column Switch, through 05.10


The removal and installation of individual steering column switch components must be done in a specified sequence. Refer to => [ Steering Column Switch Components, Removal and Installation Sequence ] Steering Column Switch Components, Removal and Installation Sequence.


Always follow the instructions regarding disconnecting and connecting the battery. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

After installing a new Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527) , it must be coded. Refer to=> [ Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527), Coding ] Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527), coding.

If steering column switch malfunctions occur, the coding of the steering column electronics control module (J527) must be checked. Refer to=> [ Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527), Coding ] Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527), coding.

DTC Recognition and Display

The Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527) is equipped with OBD.

Use the Vehicle diagnostic tester under "Guided Fault Finding".
