Horn: Service and Repair

High and Low Tone Horns (H2)/(H7)

The High Tone Horn (H2) / Low Tone Horn (H7) are activated in parallel by the Vehicle electrical system control module (J519).

The High Tone Horn/Low Tone Horn are installed on the left and right near the longitudinal members.

The High Tone Horn/Low Tone Horn are removed and installed the same way.


• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

Removal

- Remove the noise insulation.

- Release and disconnect the harness connector - arrow -.






- Remove the screw - arrow - and the high tone horn.






Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

When installing, position the horn so that it does not touch any surrounding components.

Tightening specification bolt to longitudinal member: 20 Nm

Nut tightening specification: 10 Nm
