Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motors (V48)/(V49), Hella

If the motors are removed and installed, check the headlamp position and adjust it if necessary.

• The illustrations show replacing on a left headlamp.


• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

Removal

- Remove the headlamp.

- Remove the cap - 1 -.






- Disconnect the connector - 1 - from the left headlamp beam adjustment motor (V48).






- Turn the left headlamp beam adjustment motor - 1 - all the way in - direction of arrow - and pull it slightly out of the mount - 2 -.






- Tip the left headlamp beam adjustment motor - 1 - so that the ball head - 3 - can be removed from its mount - 2 -.






- Remove the left headlamp beam adjustment motor from the headlamp.

Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Insert the left headlamp beam adjustment motor into the headlamp.

- Connect the connector.

- Install the ball head - 3 - carefully into the ball head mount - 2 - from underneath.






- Engage the left headlamp beam adjustment motor - 1 - by turning it all the way to the left.


When installing the cover cap, make sure the cap is properly seated. It is destroyed by entry of water into headlamp.

- Check headlamp for functions.

- Check and adjust the headlamp adjustment.
