Service Position

Setting






- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to => [ Front Bumper Cover ] Front Bumper Cover.

- Disconnect the cable on the lock carrier. Refer to => [ Release, Disconnecting ] Release, Disconnecting.

- If the vehicle has a charge air cooler, release the pressure hoses. Refer to => [ Pressure Hose and Coupling ] Pressure Hose and Coupling.

- Remove the screws - 4 - on the left and right guides.

- Remove the bolts - 5 - at left and right longitudinal member.

- Install guide rod (T 10093) on left and right longitudinal members.

- Remover the upper left and right bolts - 3 - on the angle brackets - 2 -.

- Pull the lock carrier and attachments - 1 - forward approximately 10 cm on the guide rod (T 10093) - arrows -.

Resetting






To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.

- Align the lock carrier and the attachments - 1 - on the longitudinal members and between the fenders.

- Tighten the screws - 3 - on the bracket - 2 -, tightening specification: 8 Nm.

- Screw tightening specification - 4 -: 2 Nm

- Screw tightening specification - 5 -: 60 Nm

• Make sure the charge air cooler pressure hoses are attached securely. Refer to => [ Pressure Hose and Coupling ] Pressure Hose and Coupling.

• Hoses and lines must not be pinched.
