Input Shaft Seal

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Pulling Hook (T20143/1)

• Thrust Piece (T40008)

• Sealing Grease (G 052 128 A1)

Removing

• Remove the transmission.

- Remove the clutch slave cylinder and release bearing. Refer to => [ Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing ] Slave Cylinder With Release Bearing.

- Pry out the input shaft seal using the (T20143/1).






• Be careful not to damage the contact surface for the shaft seal on the input shaft.

Installing

- Fill the area between the sealing lip and dust lip - arrow - halfway with sealing grease (G 052 128 A1).






- Lightly coat the outer circumference of the seal with transmission fluid.

- Install the seal using the (T40008) so that it is flush.






- Install slave cylinder with release bearing. Refer to => [ Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing ] Slave Cylinder With Release Bearing.

• Install the transmission.
