Fastener Tightening Specifications






• 1 Always replace

Cylinder Head Cover Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specification






- Tighten the cylinder head cover bolts in multiple steps and in the sequence shown to 10 Nm.

Cylinder Head Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specification

- Replace the cylinder head bolts

- Tighten the cylinder head bolt in the sequence as follows:











Cylinder Head Distortion Inspection





Check the cylinder head for distortion at several locations using the straight edge 500 mm (VAS 6075) and a feeler gauge

Maximum permissible distortion 0.05 mm

Replace the cylinder head if the maximum distortion is exceeded

Camshaft Guide Frame Mounting Bolts





Always replace bolts
First step Gently tighten new bolts from inside toward outside in several stages
Second step 8 Nm
Third step Tighten an additional 90° (1/2) turn
