Ignition Key Removal Lock Solenoid (N376)

The ignition switch key lock solenoid must be mounted next to the ignition switch.

To remove the ignition key on a vehicle with a DSG transmission, move the selector lever into "P" and then switch off the ignition. Otherwise, ignition switch key lock solenoid prevents the key from being removed!

Removal

- Remove Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527). Refer to => [ Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527) ] Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527).

- Release locking device - 2 - using a suitable screwdriver.






- Pull Ignition Key Removal Lock Solenoid - 1 - in direction of arrow out of its mount.

- During this, harness connector is simultaneously disconnected.

Installation

- Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

After connecting the battery, activate the ignition switch key lock solenoid by performing an output diagnostic test.
