Engine and transmission mount tightening specifications. Refer to => [ Fastener Tightening Specifications ] Engine Assembly - Fastener Tightening Specifications.
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
When doing any repair work, especially in the engine compartment, pay attention to the following due to clearance issues:
• Route all lines and wires in their original locations.
• Ensure sufficient clearance to all moving or hot components.
Procedure
- Insert new alignment sleeves for centering the engine and transmission in the cylinder block.
- Engage the intermediate plate at the sealing flange and slide it onto the alignment sleeves - arrows -.
- Grease the input shaft splines lightly with grease for clutch plate splines (G 000 100).
- Inspect and install the clutch and clutch mechanism.
- Make sure there is enough clearance to the subframe and radiator when installing the engine and transmission subassembly.
- Align the engine mount as follows:
• There must be a distance of at least 10 mm - a - between the engine mount bracket - 2 - and right longitudinal member.
• The casting edge on the engine mount bracket - 2 - must be parallel to the engine mount support arm - 1 -.
- Install the pendulum support.
• Engine and transmission mount tightening specifications. Refer to => [ Fastener Tightening Specifications ] Engine Assembly - Fastener Tightening Specifications.
- Install the right and left drive axles.
- Install the exhaust pipe with catalytic converter. Refer to => [ Exhaust Pipe with Catalytic Converters ] Service and Repair.
- Connect the refrigerant lines.
- Install the driveshaft.
- Install the shift mechanism and adjust if necessary.
- Reconnect the hose/line assembly to the clutch slave cylinder.
- Install the noise insulation.
- Install the plenum chamber cover.
- Install the plenum chamber bulkhead.
- Connect the battery and complete the required steps after connecting the battery.
- Fill the coolant. Refer to => [ Coolant, Draining and Filling ] Procedures.
- Connect the vehicle diagnostic tester
- Check all Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memories and erase any faults.
- Perform a road test.
- Perform a vehicle system test and correct any faults.
• If the DTC memory was erased, the readiness code must be generated again. Refer to "Guided Fault Finding" in the vehicle diagnostic tester.
