Service Interval Display, Resetting Without Vehicle Diagnosis Tester
Using the rocker switch on the windshield wiper lever or the button in the multifunction steering wheel
- Using the rocker switch, select the "settings" menu, or
- Using the button on the multifunction steering wheel, select the "settings" menu.
To access the "Settings" menu, depress the lower part of rocker switch -2- and hold it down until the display changes to the desired menu.
- Once in the "Service" submenu, select "Reset". Then press the OK (button -1-) on the windshield wiper lever, or the OK (button -5- or button -3- depending on steering wheel) on the multifunction steering wheel to reset the service interval display.
- Press the OK button to confirm the security question that follows.
Note:
A flexible interval can only be calculated for the next service if the Service Interval Display is reset using VAS 5051 / 5052, VAG 1551/52 or the Vehicle Diagnosis Tester.
Reseting indicator via the instrument cluster will result in setting to a fixed service interval value of 1 year / 15,000 km (10,000 miles).
Do not reset the display between service intervals. Doing so will result in an incorrect display.
The service display information will remain intact even if the battery is disconnected.
If a priority 1 malfunction is detected (red symbol), you cannot display the distance remaining.
