Radiator

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Refractometer (T10007)

• Hose Clip Pliers (VAS 6340)

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331/)

Removing

- Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Coolant, Draining and Filling ] Procedures.

- Disconnect the coolant hoses from radiator.

- Disconnect the connector for the coolant fan.

- Remove the fan shroud and fans. Refer to => [ Fan Shroud with Coolant Fan ] Fan Shroud With Coolant Fan.

- Remove the bolts for the radiator and remove the radiator.

Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Fill the coolant. Refer to => [ Coolant, Draining and Filling ] Procedures.
