Removal and Replacement






Lock Carrier with Attachments

Removing

The lock carrier is a safety-relevant component and for this reason it may not be serviced.

If damaged, replace the lock carrier.






- Bring the lock carrier into the service position. Refer to => [ Lock Carrier Service Position, Setting ] Lock Carrier Service Position, Setting.

- Disconnect the electrical harness connectors present.

- Drain the coolant and disconnect the coolant lines.

- Disconnect the lines on the condenser.

- Together with a second technician, remove the (T 10093) on the left and right longitudinal members - 2 - and remove the lock carrier with attachments - 1 -.


Do not start the engine whenever the A/C system or coolant lines are disconnected.

Never hang the condenser and the hydraulic fluid cooler on the lines.

Never bend the condenser lines or the hydraulic fluid lines.

Installation

- Reset the lock carrier. Refer to => [ Resetting ] Lock Carrier Service Position, Setting.

Install in reverse order of removal.

Make sure that all plug- and hose connections are corrected installed when re-assembling.

- Align the lock carrier on the longitudinal members and between the fenders.
