Towing Module: Service and Repair

Towing Recognition Control Module (J345)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)

Removal

- Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.

- Remove the left luggage compartment trim.

- Release and disconnect the harness connectors - arrows -.






• For removal of the control module, the bracket - 1 - does not need to be removed.

- Unscrew the mounting bolts - 2 - and remove the towing recognition control module from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Tighten the mounting bolts - 2 - to 2 Nm during installation.
