Footwell Lamp






Footwell Lamp

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409)

Left footwell lamp (W9) with left front footwell illumination bulb (L151)

Right footwell lamp (W10) with right front footwell illumination bulb (L152)

Left rear footwell lamp (W45) with left rear footwell illumination bulb (L106)

Right rear footwell lamp (W46) with right rear footwell illumination bulb (L107)

The front footwell lamps are installed in the trims under the instrument panel.

The rear footwell lamps are installed under the front seats.

The footwell lamps can be checked via the output diagnostic test mode of the Vehicle electrical system control module (J519).

When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trims, etc.), use commercially available adhesive tape to mask off the areas at which a prying tool ( (VAS 3409) , screwdriver) will be positioned.

Removing and installation is the same for all footwell lights and is described here for only one light.

Removal

- Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.

- Use the (VAS 3409) or a screwdriver to pry the footwell lamp out of the trim.






- Release and disconnect the harness connector - arrow - and remove the footwell lamp.






Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
