Painting Parallel Parking Assistance Sensor Brackets In Front Bumper Cover
The parallel parking assistance sensor brackets in the front bumper cover have a collar that is visible from the outside of the bumper cover. If one of these sensor brackets is replaced, the collar of the sensor bracket in the visible area (painted area) must be painted the same color as the bumper cover prior to being glued into the bumper cover. The sensor brackets for the rear parallel parking assistance sensors do not have a visible collar and do not need to be painted prior to adhesion.
Paint requirements for the brackets of the following sensors
• Bracket for the left front parallel parking assistance sensor (G568)
• Bracket for the right front parallel parking assistance sensor (G569)
Painting sensor brackets
- Use isopropyl alcohol to degrease the sensor brackets in the area to be painted - 1 -.
- Paint the sensor brackets in the area to be painted - 1 - the same color as the bumper cover.
• The paint application dimension - A - must not cross over 2.5 mm into inside of sensor bracket.
• Only paint the inside of the sensor bracket in the indicated area. If this is not observed, it may lead to difficulty when assembling or malfunctions in the parking aid system.
