Selector Mechanism Overview, from 03.09
Move the selector lever into the "P" position and set the parking brake before working with the engine running.
1 Selector Handle with Cover
• Do not remove the handle unnecessarily. For emergency release, only cover must be removed. Refer to => [ Selector Lever, Manual Release ] Procedures.
• Button on the side: Pull the button out of the handle just far enough until there is a small gap between the handle and the button. The button will lock in this position once it is released. Prevent the button from being pressed in using a cable tie or wire.
• Button in the front: The button is locked in its installed position when the handle is removed.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Selector Lever Handle ] Selector Lever Handle.
2 Selector Lever and Selector Mechanism with Selector Lever Cable
• With the shift lock solenoid.
• Do not grease cable.
• Removing and installing, refer to the following:

3 Bolt
• 8 Nm.
4 Nut
• 8 Nm.
• Quantity: 4
5 Selector Housing
6 Lock Washer
• Always replace after removing.
7 Lock Washer
• Always replace after removing.
