What is iPod(R) Tagging?

The iPod(R) tagging feature is a method to capture digital metadata that contains artist, song, album, etc information. The tag is then transferred to the iPod(R) when the appropriate cable is connected to the multimedia (MDI) interface. Once the iPod(R) is synched to the user's iTunes, the song is displayed where it can be purchased.

How can I tag a song?

A song can be tagged using a radio in satellite radio or FM HD mode. To tag a song the following steps must be performed:

^ Press the Sinus" icon.
^ Press the "Tag" icon.

^ Press the Extra" icon.
^ Press the "Tag" Icon.

Will this work on older vehicles?

Unfortunately, due to the software & hardware requirements needed for this functionality an accessory upgrade is not being offered at this time.

How many songs can be tagged?

50 songs can be stored in the radios tagging feature. Once the compatible iPod(R) is connected, the tags will be transferred and cleared out of memory.

Tip:

Under Setup --> Radio --> "Manage Tag List" all tags stored in the radio can be deleted.
