Shock Absorber and Coil Spring Overview, with Adaptive Chassis DCC






1 Low Spring Plate

The spring end must sit at the stop.

2 Coil Spring

There are different suspension versions. Refer to => [ Vehicle Data Label ] Vehicle Data Label.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Coil Spring ] Coil Spring.

3 Upper Spring Plate

4 Bracket

For the rear body acceleration sensor.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Body Acceleration Sensor G343 ] Rear Body Acceleration Sensor G343.

5 Rear Body Acceleration Sensor (G343)

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Body Acceleration Sensor G343 ] Rear Body Acceleration Sensor G343.

Note the installed position of the bracket - item 4 -.

6 Bolt

5 Nm

Always replace if removed.

7 Bolt

M14 x 1.5 x 85

180 Nm

Always replace if removed.

8 Bolt

M10 x 35

50 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4) turn.

Always replace if removed.

9 Shock Absorber with Left and Right Rear Dampening Adjustment Valves (N338/N339)

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Shock Absorber, with Adaptive Chassis DCC ] Shock Absorber, with Adaptive Chassis DCC.

10 Washer

11 Lower Track Control Arm

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Lower Track Control Arm ] Lower Track Control Arm.

12 Wheel Bearing Housing

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing Housing ] Wheel Bearing Housing.

Installed Position: Rear Body Acceleration Sensor to Bracket





The tab on the bracket - 1 - must fit into the recess in the rear body acceleration sensor - arrow -.
