Track Control Arms and Tie Rod Overview






1 Eccentric Bolt

For the camber setting.

Perform a vehicle alignment after loosening. Refer to => [ Vehicle Alignment ] Vehicle Alignment.

2 Nut

M12 x 1.5

95 Nm

Self-locking

Always replace if removed.

Always tighten the threaded connections in curb weight position. Refer to => [ Rear Subframe ] Rear Subframe.

3 Eccentric Washer

Inner bore has a tab.

4 Eccentric Bolt

For the toe setting.

Perform a vehicle alignment after loosening. Refer to => [ Vehicle Alignment ] Vehicle Alignment.

5 Eccentric Washer

Inner bore has a tab.

6 Nut

M12 x 1.5

95 Nm

Self-locking

Always replace if removed.

Always tighten threaded connections in curb weight position. Refer to => [ Rear Subframe ] Rear Subframe.

7 Subframe

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Subframe ] Rear Subframe.

Bonded rubber bushing replacing, refer to => [ Subframe Bonded Rubber Bushings ] Subframe Bonded Rubber Bushings.

8 Bracket for Rear Muffler

9 Bolt

M12 x 1.5 x 110

90 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4) turn.

Always replace if removed.

10 Lower Track Control Arm

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Lower Track Control Arm ] Lower Track Control Arm.

11 Nut

M12 x 1.5 x 75

90 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4) turn.

Self-locking

Always replace if removed.

Always tighten threaded connections in curb weight position. Refer to => [ Rear Subframe ] Rear Subframe.

12 Bolt

Always replace if removed.

13 Threaded Rivet

M6

14 Expanding Rivet

15 Stone Guard

Allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog.

16 Bolt

M6 x 12

8 Nm

17 Nut

Self-locking

Always replace if removed.

18 Washer

19 Bolt

M14 x 1.5 x 115

130 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4) turn.

Always replace if removed.

20 Washer

21 Upper Track Control Arm

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Upper Track Control Arm ] Upper Track Control Arm

22 Washer

23 Nut

Self-locking

Always replace if removed.

Always tighten threaded connections in curb weight position. Refer to => [ Rear Subframe ] Rear Subframe.

24 Wheel Bearing Housing

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing Housing ] Wheel Bearing Housing.

25 Washer

26 Bolt

M14 x 1.5 x 115

130 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4) turn.

Always replace if removed.

Always tighten threaded connections in curb weight position. Refer to => [ Rear Subframe ] Rear Subframe.

27 Tie Rod

There are different versions, refer to => [ Tie Rod Characteristics ] Procedures.

Closed in the direction of travel (the right and left tie rods are different)

Opened downward (the right and left tie rods are the same)

It is possible to interchange.

Pay attention to the allocation of the trailing arms when replacing them. Refer to => [ Allocation of the Tie Rods for the Trailing Arms ] Procedures.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Tie Rod ] Tie Rod.

28 Bolt

M12 x 1.5 x 95

90 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4) turn.

Always replace if removed.

29 Bolt

M12 x 1.5 x 90

Always replace if removed.

Always tighten threaded connections in curb weight position. Refer to => [ Rear Subframe ] Rear Subframe.

30 Nut

90 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4) turn.

Self-locking

Always replace if removed.
