Seat Occupied Recognition Assembly Overview

The replacement part (service kit) for the passenger occupant detection system is already pre-calibrated and must not be separated under any circumstances. The service kit consists of:

• Seat Occupied Recognition Control Module (J706)

• Seat Occupied Recognition Pressure Sensor (G452)

• Passive Occupant Detection System Mat

• Seat cushion

Observe safety precautions when working on seat occupied recognition. Refer to => [ Passive Occupant Detection System Safety Precautions ] Passive Occupant Detection System Safety Precautions.

• The passenger occupant detection system is only installed in the front passenger side.






1 Seat Occupied Recognition Pressure Sensor (G452)

• Is a component of the seat occupied recognition mat

• Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Passenger Occupant Detection System ] Passenger Occupant Detection System

• The connector may be disconnected for removing and installing

2 Seat Pan

3 Clip

4 Cushion

• For the lower seat frame

• Do not separate from the seat occupied recognition mat - 6 -

5 Clip

• Do not release.

6 Mat

• For the passenger occupant detection system

• Is a component of the seat occupied recognition pressure sensor (G452)

• Do not separate from the lower seat frame cushion - 4 -

• Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Passenger Occupant Detection System ] Passenger Occupant Detection System

7 Mount

• For the passenger occupant detection system control module (J706)

8 Expanding Pin

• For securing the mount to the lower seat frame

9 Wiring Harness

• Do not separate from the seat occupied recognition pressure sensor (G452) and seat occupied recognition control module (J706)

10 Front Passenger Seat Position Sensor (G554)

• Is a component of the wiring harness - 9 -

• Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Seat Position Sensor ] Seat Position Sensor

11 Seat Occupied Recognition Control Module (J706)

• Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Passenger Occupant Detection System ] Passenger Occupant Detection System

• Do not disconnect the connector.
