Emergency Lamp Switch E3
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Removal Wedge (3409)
The following component is integrated in the emergency flasher switch.
• Emergency Flasher Indicator Lamp (K6)
• When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool ( (3409) , screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.
• Remove the panels only in the sequence indicated.
Removing
- Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and move the ignition key or start button into the 0 position (preliminary engaged position).
- Remove the trim - 2 - using (3409)..
- Remove the trim - 1 - using (3409).
- Remove the trim - 5 - using (3409).
- Remove the trim - 4 - using (3409).
- Remove the trim - 3 - using (3409).
- Remove the bolts - arrows - and the console - 1 - with the emergency flasher switch from the instrument cluster. Be careful of the connected wires.
- Disengage harness connector - arrow - and disconnect harness connector.
- Disengage retaining lugs - arrows - and remove Emergency Flasher Switch - 1 -.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
