Sensor on Lock Carrier

Driver Front Airbag Crash Sensor G283

• The driver front airbag crash sensor (G283) is located on the left side of the lock carrier.

Removing

Always read the General Safety Precautions before working on airbags, belt tensioners and battery cut-out units (pyrotechnical components). Refer to => [ Airbag, Belt Tensioner and Battery Cut-Out Units, General Safety Precautions ] Airbag, Belt Tensioner and Battery Cut-Out Units, General Safety Precautions.

- Disconnect the battery.

- Disconnect the connector - 2 - from the Driver Front Airbag Crash Sensor (G283) - 3 -.

- Remove the bolts - 1 - (4.5 Nm).






Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.

- Switch on ignition.

Make sure no one is in the vehicle.

- Connect the battery.
