Sensor Behind Front Lid Lock

Driver Front Airbag Crash Sensor G283

• The Driver Front Airbag Crash Sensor (G283) is installed behind the front lid lock.

Removing

Always read the General Safety Precautions before working on airbags, belt tensioners and battery cut-out units (pyrotechnical components). Refer to => [ Airbag, Belt Tensioner and Battery Cut-Out Units, General Safety Precautions ] Airbag, Belt Tensioner and Battery Cut-Out Units, General Safety Precautions.

- Disconnect the battery.

- Press connector lock - 1 - and disconnect connector - 2 - from Driver Front Airbag Crash Sensor (G283) - 3 -.






- Remove the two bolts - 4 - (5.4 Nm).

Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.

- Switch on ignition.

Make sure no one is in the vehicle.

- Connect the battery.
