Parking Lamp Bulb
• Left Parking Lamp (M1) and Right Parking Lamp (M3) can be checked via output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) of Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519).
Removing
- Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and move the ignition key or start button into the 0 position (preliminary engaged position).
• During removal and installation, leave ignition key with remote control inside the vehicle to prevent the doors from locking and possibly activating the "Coming Home / Leaving Home" functions on its own.
• The following illustrations show the procedure for replacing the right parking lamp (M3).
• The procedure for removing and installing the left parking lamp (M1) is the same.
• The illustration shows the removal and installation procedure on a headlamp that has been removed. The headlamp does not need to be removed to replace the parking lamp bulb.
- Remove the cap - 1 - from the back of the headlamp.
- Pull the socket and parking lamp bulb - 1 - back out of the reflector. Be careful of the connected wires.
- Remove parking lamp - 2 - from lamp socket - 1 - in - direction of arrow -.
Parking lamp bulb: 12 V, W 5 W
Installing
• When installing cap, ensure proper seating. It is destroyed by entry of water into headlamp.
• Do not touch the glass of the light bulb, when installing. Fingerprints will leave traces of grease on the glass which will evaporate and cloud the glass when the lamp is switched on.
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
- Check headlamp for function.
