Front Door Lamps and Switches

Front Entry Lamp W31 and W32

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Removal Wedge (3409)

• Removal and installation for all entry lights is performed in the same way and is only described for one lamp.

Entry lamps:

• Left Front Entry Light (W31)

• Right Front Entry Light (W32)

• Left Rear Entry Light (W33)

• Right Rear Entry Light (W34)

• When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool ( (3409) , screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.

• Removal and installation for all entry lights is performed in the same way and is only described for one light.

Removing

- Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and move the ignition key or start button into the 0 position (preliminary engaged position).

- Carefully pry out lights using (3409) or a screwdriver.






- Disengage harness connector and disconnect harness connector.

Bulb, replacing

- Carefully pry off diffusion lens from housing.






- Carefully pull lamp - 1 - out of socket.






- Replace bulb (12V, 5 W).

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
