1 A/C Compressor
• Zexel
• Clean the flange before mounting the ribbed belt pulley.
2 Ribbed Belt Pulley
• Loosen and tighten the bolt on the ribbed belt pulley using a commercially available strap wrench (with fabric tape).
3 Circlip
• Replace
• Install on the proper side, the side with beveled insertion edge faces away from A/C compressor (install flat side facing compressor).
4 Overload Protection
• Bolted with to the ribbed belt pulley.
• Keeps the ribbed belt pulley from turning when the A/C compressor gets blocked.
• Loosen and tighten the bolt on the ribbed belt pulley using a commercially available strap wrench (with fabric tape).
5 Hex Bolt
• 20 Nm
• Replace
• Loosen and tighten the bolt on the ribbed belt pulley using a commercially available strap wrench (with fabric tape).
• Clean the thread on the A/C compressor shaft of old locking compound before installing.
• Install the bolt with locking compound (D 000 600 A2).
6 Hex Socket Head Bolt
• 5 Nm
• Quantity: 3
Remove The Ribbed Belt Pulley
• It is not necessary to remove the A/C compressor when replacing the ribbed belt pulley.
• Loosen and tighten the bolt on the ribbed belt pulley using a commercially available strap wrench (with fabric tape).
- Remove the ribbed belt.
- Remove the bolts - arrows -.
- Remove the bolt - 1 -.
- Remove the locking ring - 1 -.
- Remove the ribbed belt pulley - 2 - from the A/C compressor.
Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
• Clean the thread on the A/C compressor shaft of old locking compound before installing.
• Clean the A/C compressor flange before mounting the ribbed belt pulley.
• Install the circlip on the proper side, the side with beveled insertion edge faces away from A/C compressor (install flat side facing compressor).
• Replace the hex collar bolt - 5 -.
