Access/Start Authorization Antenna 3 in Vehicle Interior R154
The access/start authorization antenna 3 is located under the rear shelf.
• No coding, basic setting or adaptation is necessary if access/start authorization antenna 3 is replaced. Erase the entry in the DTC memory via "guided fault finding" with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
Removing
- Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and move the ignition key or start button into the 0 position (preliminary engaged position).
- Remove the rear shelf..
- Remove the insulating pieces - 1 - and the expanding rivets - 3 -.
- Unlock and disconnect the connector - 2 -.
- Remove the access/start authorization antenna 3 from the rear shelf.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
• The access/start authorization antenna 3 flat connector wire is straight when it is delivered. Fold the wire when connecting as illustrated in the magnified area.
• Install the insulation pieces in their original locations on the rear shelf.
