Access/Start Authorization Antenna 3 in Vehicle Interior R154

The access/start authorization antenna 3 is located under the rear shelf.

No coding, basic setting or adaptation is necessary if access/start authorization antenna 3 is replaced. Erase the entry in the DTC memory via "guided fault finding" with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

Removing

- Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and move the ignition key or start button into the 0 position (preliminary engaged position).

- Remove the rear shelf..

- Remove the insulating pieces - 1 - and the expanding rivets - 3 -.






- Unlock and disconnect the connector - 2 -.

- Remove the access/start authorization antenna 3 from the rear shelf.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

The access/start authorization antenna 3 flat connector wire is straight when it is delivered. Fold the wire when connecting as illustrated in the magnified area.

Install the insulation pieces in their original locations on the rear shelf.
