Hood Hinge: Service and Repair

Hinge

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque wrench 5 to 50 Nm (V.A.G 1331)

• Removing and installing the right hinge is described. Removing and installing the left hinge is identical.

Removing






- Remove the hood. Refer to => [ Hood ] Hood

- Remove plenum chamber cover. Refer to => [ Plenum Chamber Cover ] Plenum Chamber Cover.

- Remove the bolts - 2 - and the hinge - 1 -.

Installation






Install the hinge - 1 - in reverse order of removal.

- Tightening specifications of bolts - 2 -: 21 Nm.

- Install the hood - 1 -. Refer to => [ Hood ] Hood
