Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Door adjusting wrench (3320)

• Joint for 3320 (3320/1)

• Box wrench (3320/2)

• Box wrench (3320/3)

• Torque wrench 5 to 50 Nm (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

• This removal and installation procedure describes the left door. The procedure is the same for the right door.






- Press on the catch - arrow a - and remove the boot - 2 - from the A-pillar.

- Swing locking lever - 3 - downward - arrow b - and disconnect electrical harness connector - 4 - from connector station.

- Remove the caps - 6 -.

- Remove the bolts - 5 - and - 7 - from the hinges.

- Lift door - 1 - upward - arrow c - out of the hinges.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal.

- Tightening specification: screws - 5 and 7 - 28 Nm.

- Make sure the front door gap dimensions are correct => 00 Technical data; body gap dimensions; front body
