Emblem with Decorative Frame for Vehicles with Adaptive Cruise Control

Removing

For special equipment with the adaptive cruise control sensor -G550- - 2 -, instant adhesive is applied to the 3 surfaces on the backside before installing the decorative frame - 3 - into the radiator grille - 1 -. With this method, the retainer is secured additionally by the adhesive.

- Remove the radiator grille through January 2011 - 1 -, refer to => [ Radiator Grille through January 2011 ] Radiator Grille through January 2011.

- Remove the radiator grille from January 2011 - 1 -, refer to => [ Radiator Grille from January 2011 ] Radiator Grille from January 2011.






- Turn the emblem - 4 - and the decorative frame - 3 - slightly and remove them in the - direction of the arrow b - forward out from the radiator grille - 1 -.

- Release the emblem hooks - 4 - from the back side of the decorative frame - 3 -.

- Remove the emblem - 4 - with the lower hooks - arrow a - out of the decorative frame - 3 -.

Installation

Before assembling, inspect the emblem - 4 - and the decorative frame - 3 - for damages and replace them if necessary.

Read the information about adaptive cruise control sensor -G550- - 2 - before installing.

- Attach the emblem - 4 - at the lower anchorage point - 3 - - arrow b -.






- Fold the emblem - 4 - into the decorative frame - 3 - and engage it.

- Insert the emblem - 4 - with the decorative frame - 3 - into the groove for the radiator grille - 1 - in the - direction of arrow a - and turn it.

- Install the radiator grille.
