O-rings, Gaskets, Seals and Transmission Fluid

• Always replace the O-rings, gaskets and seals.

• After removing the shaft seals, check the sealing surfaces on the housing or shaft for burrs, resulting from removal or damage.

• Coat the O-rings with transmission fluid before installing, in order to prevent crushing the O-rings during installation.

• Use automatic transmission fluid only. Other types of lubricants can cause faults to occur in the transmission hydraulics.

• To install, lightly coat the shaft seals along the outer circumference and on the sealing lip - arrow - with transmission fluid.






• The open side on the shaft seals faces the oil.

• Check the transmission fluid level. Refer to => [ Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Filling ] Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Filling.

Be cautious when dealing with automatic transmission fluid. Dispose of drained transmission fluid properly.
