Headlamp Beam Adjusting Motors, Halogen Headlamps, Removing and Installing

Always perform a basic setting to the headlamp whenever a positioning motor is removed and installed again or replaced.

• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

Removing

- Remove the headlamp => [ Headlamp ] Headlamp.

- Turn the cap - 2 - on the headlamp - 1 - in the - direction of the arrow - and remove it.






- Place the suitable hex socket - 2 - into the adjustment element - 3 - and turn the hex socket clockwise - arrow -. The headlamp reflector moves forward below.






- Release and disconnect the connector on the adjustment motor.






- Turn the adjustment motor - 1 - in the - direction of the arrow -.

- Push the adjustment motor - 1 - downward - arrow - and remove it from the joint - 2 -.






- Remove the adjustment motor from the headlamp.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install the headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamp ] Headlamp.

- Check headlamp adjustment and adjust the headlamps => [ Headlamp, Aiming ] Headlamp, Aiming.

- Perform basic setting of headlamps => 14.1.
