ABS Mark 70 (ABS/ASR)






1 ABS Control Module (w/EDL) (J104)

• Component location: On the ABS hydraulic unit inside the engine compartment on the right side

• Do not disconnect connector before successfully completing On Board Diagnostic (OBD). Switch ignition off before separating connector

• Removing and Installing, refer to => [ ABS Control Module and ABS Hydraulic Unit ] ABS Control Module and ABS Hydraulic Unit

2 ABS Hydraulic Unit (N55)

• Component location: in engine compartment, right

The ABS hydraulic unit consists of the following:

• ABS hydraulic pump (V64)

• Valve block (contains inlet and outlet valves)

• ABS hydraulic unit and valve block must not be separated from each other.

3 Traction Control Indicator Lamp (K86)

• Component location: In the instrument cluster

• Function: => [ Level Control System Indicator Lamps ] Level Control System Indicator Lamps

4 ABS Warning Lamp (K47)

• Component location: In the instrument cluster

• Function: => [ Level Control System Indicator Lamps ] Level Control System Indicator Lamps

5 Brake Pad Wear Indicator Lamp (K32)

• Component location: In the instrument cluster

• Function: => [ Level Control System Indicator Lamps ] Level Control System Indicator Lamps

6 Brake System Warning Lamp (K118)

• Component location: In the instrument cluster

• Function: => [ Level Control System Indicator Lamps ] Level Control System Indicator Lamps

7 Brake Light Switch (F)

• includes Brake Pedal Switch (F47)

• Component location: On brake master cylinder

• Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Brake Lamp Switch ] Service and Repair or => [ Brake Lamp Switch ] Service and Repair

8 Diagnostic Connection

• Component location: driver side footwell cover

9 Rear Wheel Bearing Unit

• The ABS sensor ring is installed in the wheel bearing

10 Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor

• Removing and installing

• Torsion beam rear suspension with drum brake, refer to => [ Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor, Torsion Beam Suspension with Drum Brakes ] Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor, Torsion Beam Suspension with Drum Brakes.

• Torsion beam rear suspension with disc brake, refer to => [ Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor, Torsion Beam Suspension with Disc Brakes ] Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor, Torsion Beam Suspension with Disc Brakes.

11 Front Wheel Bearing Unit

• The ABS sensor ring is installed in the wheel bearing

12 Front ABS Wheel Speed Sensor

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Front ABS Wheel Speed Sensor ] Front ABS Wheel Speed Sensor.
