Removing






- Remove the rear lid trim panel..

- Disconnect the connectors from any electrical components.

- Loosen the boot - 4 - and guide the wires - 1 - through the opening and out of the rear lid.

- Loosen, but do not remove, the bolts - 5 - on the left and right hinges - 3 -.

A second technician is required for the rest of the removal procedure.

- Remove the left and right gas-filled strut - 2 - from the rear lid, refer to => [ Gas-Filled Strut ] Gas-Filled Strut.

- First remove the bolts - 5 - and the rear lid.

Installation






Install the rear lid in the same manner in reverse order of removal.

Bolt - 5 - tightening specification: 10 Nm

- Adjust the rear lid. Refer to => [ Rear Lid, Adjusting ] Rear Lid, Adjusting.

• Perform a function test on the unlocking components before closing the rear lid.
