Input Shaft Seal

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Pulling Hook (T20143)

• Thrust Piece (T40008)

• Sealing Grease for Seal (G 052 128 A1)

Requirement:

• Transmission is removed.

Removing

- Remove the clutch slave cylinder with release bearing. Refer to => [ Clutch Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing ] Clutch Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing.

- Remove the input shaft seal using the pulling hook (T20143/1).






• Be careful not to damage the contact surface for the seal on the input shaft.

- Fill the area between the sealing and dust lips - arrow - halfway with sealing grease for seal (G 052 128 A1).






- Coat the outer circumference of the seal lightly with transmission fluid.

- Install the seal flush using the thrust piece (T40008).






- Install the clutch slave cylinder with release bearing. Refer to => [ Clutch Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing ] Clutch Slave Cylinder with Release Bearing.

- Install the transmission.
