Disconnecting

• Make sure the electrical system of the vehicle is always protected. Disconnect the battery before working on the electrical system.

• Follow all warning messages and Safety Precautions.

• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

Procedure

Vehicles with a battery housing

- Open the locking mechanism - arrow - and remove the battery case cover.






Vehicles with a battery jacket

- Open the battery jacket - 1 -.






All vehicles

- Disconnect the ground cable - 3 - from the battery negative pole.






- Disconnect the positive cable - 2 - from the battery positive terminal.
